This coffee, grown between 1,200 and 1,800 meters above sea level hails from the San Marcos de Tarrazu region. The producer is Coope Tarrazu and has about 4,000 members, of which about 1/3 are women. The majority of the members are smallholders with less than 10-hectare farms. This coffee is distinguished by it’s blue-hued green bean, acidity, intense aroma, and balanced cup. Cupping notes include chocolate, roasted marshmallow, cherry, vanilla, syrupy and very clean, and sweet lingering aftertaste.
